jbuhajla
Scott did a really nice job explaining his process of setting volume levels. I don't remember seeing this one posted on to this forum, so I thought I would. Very handy tips indeed, especially if you do not know your front of house guy. If you leave very little for him to do, there is less that will get buggered up. Nice job Scott.
silverhead
..... Very handy tips indeed, especially if you do not know your front of house guy. Whether you know the sound guy or not, I think it's your/our job - not his - to make sure the gain staging is appropriate within each preset and that there are no unwieldy volume level differences as you switch among the presets or snapshots. We should leave him nothing to do here, not just very little. If anything in that domain gets buggered up it ain't his fault. ... full disclosure - I'm also a sound guy so perhaps a bit sensitive on this point! 😎
specracer986
Why not use the output block to raise of lower volume of each snapshot?
