Nathcloud9
Hi, this is new to me but i bought an old variax 300 from an old friend just for the 12 string snd acoustic sounds mainly. Why do the acoustic sounds not sound anything like an acoustic? Just sounds like an electric to me.
Charlie_Watt
Acoustic sounds are good if you have a full range amp. If you plug into a standard guitar amp, they do not sound good at all.
ADBrown
As Charlie_Watt mentioned above, modeled acoustic sounds require the same type of sound reproduction required with a normal acoustic instrument. Plugging an acoustic guitar into a standard combo amp typically does not produce desired results, same thing with the modeled sounds. A PA, acoustic amp, or some sort of FRFR speaker is your best bet.
Charlie_Watt
My Variax sounds great with my HD500x and a PA speaker. I use an acoustic model that has no amp sim.
cruisinon2
Same answer to the same question in the other thread....no FRFR, no usable acoustic tones. That's all she wrote.
