Helix will not load my saved bundle after 2.20 update

I get a message stating "badly formed JSON".

Update went without a hitch. I saved the bundle right before beginning the update process.

I tried rebooting Helix, still get the same message.

This is very very very bad if I can't get this resolved. I need that bundle loaded. Otherwise this will cost me hours of work. I do not want to be a cautionary tale.

Any ideas?

Best idea won't help now, but in future I suggest you backup individual setlists rather than (or at least as well as) the bundle. That way you won't ovrewrite the new factory presets when you restore the old bundle.

For now....

Are you sure you are using the v2.20 editor as well? The editor and firmware must be compatible - you can't use the old editor with the new firmware.

Yes I am on Editor v 2.20.

I am able to load older bundles, setlists and presets without issue. I am going to assume the bundle file somehow got corrupted when I saved it to my hard drive before the update. I think I am screwed. :(

And just another logistical check..... did you also install the new driver (v1.85) and the new Line 6 Updater program (v1.11) when installing the editor? Did you use Updater v1.11 to update the firmware?

It's probably worth trying to reinstall all the latest components and test the bundle file again. But after the firmware update, and before trying to reinstall the old bundle, back up the new v2.20 factory setlists. And henceforth use setlists rather than bundles.

If the old bundle still wopn't load after a fresh v2.20 installation then your corruption assumption may be correct. You may not be entirely screwed, though. Some users here have been able to interpret and edit the source JSON files in setltists and presets. I don't know about bundles but if you're lucky someone will reply with editing suggestions to help you recover the setlists/presets from the bundle file.

Thanks Silverhead. Yes driver and Updater are the proper versions. Any suggestions for fixing the JSON file would of course, be welcome, but I doubt I would be able to interpret the data.

I found a setlist with some presets that were the origins of all my main patches, so this would not cost me more than a couple hours of work, thankfully.
