cclement
Hey all, I'm going to do the 2.20 update in just a bit. This will be my first upgrade as my unit was updated by Sweetwater before it got to me. So what it the best way to do the patch backups? Individually? Set lists? I'm ok with either... just looking to see if there is a preferred method. I don't have too many at this point, but I sure don't want to lose them either with the update. Wow, This is becoming a theme. The best thing to do is go for a "Failsafe" scenario. Backup everything, your custom presets, and factory stuff. Avoid doing the bundle thing, some folk have had issues with that. Go for the setlist and single patch solution and remember if it can go wrong, it will. Basically follow the release notes to the letter. If a user fails to read and follow the update instructions, Helix will engage Snapshot 2 in preset 8 Templates > 32D every day at 4:30 AM So it's nothing to worry about as long as you don't have a power out, but hey, Enjoy your update. jbuhajla
I backup all three (bundle, setlists, individual presets) in separate folders, weekly, and always before a firmware update.
