jimbojamz
When I plug my Helix into the fx return on my Marshall JVM410H, it has a very low volume even with the units volume knob all the way up. When I plug it into my Fender HRD or 5153 fx return, all have plenty of volume (in fact I have to turn the vol knob back down on those two). What am I doing wrong on the Marshall? tia
FlyingsCool
Maybe this helps... from this thread http://www.marshallforum.com/threads/effects-are-weak-in-jvm410h-effects-loop.72110/ "Probably things you already know or tried and its been awhile since I had mine. Make sure you are using the loop in and out on the left (facing rear of amp) and not the ones on the right which is for amp in and out and on yours its called Series Parallel Loop I believe. You want to use the Serial Loop. On my HJS its labeled Serial Loop and that's the one I use with no problems. Make sure you engage the fx loop button on the front of the amp for each channel and each mode of each channel that you want to use the effects loop on. Also and I am not positive but on my HJS I believe one of the tubes V3 or V4 if for the effects loop. If yours is the same maybe you have a tube going bad. Sorry I couldn't be more help."
