leandrocarvalho
Can I control my POD HD PRO with the FCB1010 foot controller? I can change the patches without problems, but I can't access the wah and volume with the expression pedals. Thanks a lot.
deguello
Yes you can...but....you have to program it. Use the Line 6 FBV Control software to assign your buttons and pedals. It can be daunting. You may search around for someone else's patch file. I researched it quite a bit before finally settling on the line 6 board. The information is out there. Here is one: http://host.mtnsys.com:81/faq-fcb/How%20To%20Files/FCB1010%20Setup%20for%20Line6%20POD.doc and another: http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/gear-equipment/222539-pod-hd-pro-fcb1010-help.html and another: http://host.mtnsys.com:81/faq-fcb/IdiotsGuide.htm
leandrocarvalho
Thanks a lot, bro, but I tried all these options, but still did not work. I searched on other forums and there are many people with this same problem. I'm very disappointed.
zubala
You can control wah and volume. You have to find out the midi cc that the wah and the volume are controlled witch. The trick is to program your FCB to work properly with your POD HD Pro. I did this over a year ago and it works fine up today. Connect your POD HD PRO and your FCB. Switch both units on. Press the down button on your FCB for more than 3 seconds. (after that 1, 8, 9 flash up) Push button 8. it starts to blink. Press up button. A number flashes up on the screen right above the up button. push button 1 on your FCB to change this number to 01 Push up button again. A second number occurs push button 1 again, so that these number also shows 01 in the display. (the little green light under preset configuration should light above "value1") pish "up" button again. push buttons 1, 2, 7. Now the display shows 127. push up button again. Congratulation, you have programmed Pedal A (the left one) Let´s program Pedal B for volume: Push button 9. it starts to blink. Press up button. A number flashes up on the screen right above the up button. push button 2 on your FCB to change this number to 02 Push up button again. A second number occurs. Change it to 00 push up button again. A second number lights up. push buttons 1, 2, 7. Now the display shows 127. push up button again. Congratulation, you have programmed Pedal B (the right one) Push down button for more than 3 seconds to leave the programming menu OK. The FCB is programmed. Let´s go to the POD HD PRO Choose a wah pedal as a single effect in the chain. Make a double-click on the "move" button on your POD. The "Controller Assign" Menu pops up. with turning knob no. 2 choose EXP 1 Turning knob 3 0% Turning Knob 4 100% Save everything. Congrats, your wah works now! Volume Pedal place the cursor over your amp model block double click "move" "parameter" turn turning knob 1 until parameter shows "volume" Turn turning knob 2 until it shows EXP 2 choose min (I suggest 0%) and max level to your desire Save Congratulations! Your POD HD PRO has a channel with foot-controllable wah and volume. You just have to program the FCB once. Every POD channel has to be configured on its own. Thats a bit of work to do but it gives you total freedom to control whatever you want. Hope that could help. It works. I play this combination for a long time now - great value for the money if you understand to program it right. HAVE FUN!
PerS
Hi I also use the fcb1010 for many years (had it for my pod xt) and its a pain to program... There is some editors making thing easier but, I was on my way to give up when I came across this... This guy has made some improvements and corrected some errors in the basic product. Have his chip installed and its really nice. It can work as the original FCB1010 (program it according to zubalas great description above, even I would have been able to follow that) or it can be used in stomp box mode setting sw 6-10 (I used it to set FS1-4 + controlling the wha on my POD HD Pro) as "global" and giving you 20 banks to play with. There is also an editor for it and it helps a lot, not perfect but it does its job and it is easy. - The upgrade chip for the controller - http://www.ossandust.be/ (there is some comparison sheets under the download tab and a manual and a programing sheet to study) - The editor - http://www.lg-fcb.com/lgfcb_software.php (to download it or manuals go to the download tab - http://www.lg-fcb.com/lgfcb_downloads.php) Worth every penny of it. A whole new experience... Take care //Per
