kendeschene
For practice at home, is it common to run from the Helix into a single FRFR (looking at the Yamaha DRX10)? I'd also consider running a drum machine or even backing tracks through the same monitor.
markdenman123
I use one EV ZLX12P with much happiness at home and onstage. It works fine. If I am developing a stereo patch for recording I will patch the Helix into my console and build the patch via my studio monitors - that way it built with those speakers in mind. DunedinDragon
The DXR10 is perfectly capable of such things. You have to remember these type of FRFR speakers are designed to be PA FOH speakers, so they're more than capable taking whatever you give them. I personally use a DXR12 on it's own at home to dial in my patches.

MusicLaw
Yup! The DXR10 works great with the Helix. I have two. They are exceptional! And, there's a Yamaha Rebate program ongoing through the end of September. I believe it is a $50 Rebate VISA card for each DXR10.
