Roberttheprole
I'm using helix to feed from 1/4 outs to my two fenders creating a stereo signal. In addition I'd like to create a "bass" signal and feed that to a bass amp. My first thought was to use a xlr-1/4 cable, xlr out of helix into 1/4 input of bass amp, but this creates a terrible buzz. I'm sure I'm suffering from lack of audio engineering knowledge, could anyone help me make sense of this scenario? All my fx loops are already in use. Right now I've settled with a mono guitar / mono bass setup. Any help would be much appreciated!
Turpentine
Thats the same way I would've done it too. I think the problem lies in the XLR-1/4 connector. That's where I'd check first. Does your bassamp have a balanced XLR input?
Roberttheprole
No, it's a mesa m9, 1/4 input only. I'm confident it's some kinda ground loop issue, dirty power, or both?
PeterHamm
There is a wall with Helix, and you, sir, may have just hit it! You'll have to change that cable, then you might be just fine.
AlexKenivel
Is everything plugged into the same circuit?
