jelliott78
How to create alternate tuning 1/2 step down without using work bench?
psarkissian
It's either on the Alt Tune selector (1/2 Down) or Workbench HD. If you're looking to create it in the Custom patch, Workbench HD is it.
jelliott78
Thanks. I was hoping to bypass the workbench with the Variax Shuriken
SymphonicDischord
I believe this may be what your thinking of: https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=PLM70_3BvKVmcQh7WA4WYKFSWONpFMDUQC&v=cF72ShqPQ7s This way you can bypass Workbench. psarkissian
Right, it's something that's been part of Variax series for sometime. Page-13 and -14 in the Shuriken manual for Custom Alt Tuning.

SymphonicDischord
Once your enter the on the fly tuning mode, the 12th fret is considered your zero fret. So to tune down a half step you would play each string at the 11th fret.
