Can you set an expression pedal to control the main volume like the knob?

I find that in live conditions trying to adjust the main overall volume with the onboard knob is not friendly.  I would like to be able to use a separate expression pedal  to control the overall volume.  Does this make sense and does anyone know if it is possible?

Thanks

Yes I have that but I'm talking the main output. Trying to balance the volume between presets or as the band starts playing a little louder I'm trying for the overall volume not just in each preset.

Some folks remedy this by placing an actual physical volume pedal between the quarter inch out of their Helix and whatever monitor you're using, but no the built-in expression pedal cannot directly control the master volume of the Helix unit itself.

Your best bet is to place a volume pedal block on every preset if you really want to control it all with your foot, or just nudge the master volume knob up and down with your toe as you play

I was planning on using an external second expression pedal.  The V pedal will work but not easily with stereo.  I was hoping i could map that function to an expression pedal.  I do use my foot with the knob now it is just very touchy when you use it like that.
