FrioneL
Hello! I just bought a Helix LT and I'm having trouble getting the sound through my PC. I have the same setup as with my previous Axe-FX, which is, I connect the Helix through XLR to a PC external audio card, so I can have both audios available in my pc: pc sound + helix. This way I can play with backing tracks and have both coming through the same monitors. Somehow, this is not working now on Helix. Do you know if I have to set anything in order to make it work...? I just plug in the cables... maybe I did something in the past for the AxeFx, but I can't remember now. Thanks
brue58ski
Check to make sure your outputs in your patches are set to multi or XLR. Also make sure the XLR output level itself is set properly. It can be line or mic level. If the card is expecting line level the mic level is probably not strong enough. The XLR output setting can be found in the Global settings area I think. I do not have an LT so I could be wrong about the Global settings. Have you made sure there is a signal there by using headphones? Maybe your input is set wrong. I've been caught by that. Spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong and it was that the input was set to the wrong thing.
jbuhajla
With Helix you can also go straight to PC with USB, connect your monitors to the Helix. Helix is an interface on its own. This is how I have mine connected, and you can play along to audio from your PC over USB 1/2. You also have 8 inputs and 8 outputs available if you have DAW software.
