wilso2510
Hi, hope that someone can help/point me in the right direction. Since doing the update to 2.5 I have had trouble importing tones I've downloaded from L6 custom tone site. They appear to be in hlx format. I select a blank preset click import and select the tones then I get the error saying model specified in the file not recognised. Others are using the presets fine. Any ideas? cruisinon2
There's a little known new feature in 2.50... awful patches are automatically rejected by the hardware...RIP Customtone.😉

Mine didn't reject the factory presets, so I guess there is still room for improvement.

What device are you on Helix, LT, HX Effects? When you updated to HX Edit 2.51 did you also update to the 2.50 firmware? On the face of it it sounds like your version of HX Edit and your firmware are not matched. If you are using HX Edit 2.51 you should be on the 2.50 version of the firmware. You can check your editor and firmware versions in the About entry in the menu of HX Edit. Another thing to try would be switching off your HX device(Helix or whatever) and then restarting it after importing presets. If you watch the boot up process you will see your device display a message showing that it is rebuilding the preset(s) you just downloaded, e.g "Rebuilding...". wilso2510
Thank you HonestOpinion, I'm using a helix and from your advice I installed the latest HX Edit and it's all working now. Saved me a lot of time and a headache. Thanks again.
