into_your_blues
One question I haven't been able to find an answer to - does the guitar matter when using these preset digital tones? In other words, does a given specified tone always sound the same regardless of the guitar being played?
phil_m
Yes, it matters very much.
ADBrown
Yes the guitar matters and will play a large role in the overall tone. Some of the things that influence tone from the guitar: different woods and combinations of provide different timbres. Guitar construction: solid body guitars, semi hollow, and hollow guitars also have different sounds. Pickups also play a large role, single coil pickups sound different than humbuckers. Different pickup outputs also affect the tone.
Koebi
I think, only the electronics matter. Eg pickups and/ or knobs circuitry.
