joel_brown
Just for the heck of it. I bought the Behringer TO800 Overdrive pedal for $20. It's a Tube Screamer knockoff. It actually sounds nice and it's priced the way a pedal should be since there's only about $1's worth of parts in it. I plugged it into my PODHD with the Overdrive knob at 12, Tone knob at 7, and Level at 11. It got rid of some of the low end bass and high end fizz that I don't like and gave it a slighter fatter more analogue tone. It really helped the sound and much better than the built in overdrive effects. I was very surprised.
Triryche
Reminds me of back in the XT days when FIZZ was like a 4 letter word in the forums and many users we raving about Digitech’s Bad Monkey helping tame the fizz.

I had a Flextone IIIXL back in those days and had my old ADA MP-1 running out front as a tube buffer and programmable EQ using midi to switch it...Worked great, but just too much to haul around... Triryche
Do you remember the Harmonic Converger controversy?
joel_brown
Hey for $20 bucks and anyone still not completely happy with their aging PODHD, it's worth giving it a shot. And if this isn't the first time something like this has helped then Line6 should have taken notice years ago.

I think that was Neil Diamond's guitarist that was making those. As I recall, he had basically created a dialed in passive EQ network to get the fizz out of a POD XT if I remember right...Some said it was just a low pass filter...I never heard one...I remember him selling them tho...oh and some of those threads were truly classic.
