Bonzoso 1 Posted April 14, 2018 I bought a Fender Stratocaster Classic Vibe and a Line 6 Spider V 30 last week. I already had a Yamaha acoustic guitar. Can I use the amp with my acoustic guitar as well?
silverhead 8,807 Posted April 14, 2018 Yes you can but you may not be happy with the result. An acoustic guitar has a much wider dynamic range than an electric guitar. An electric guitar amp like the Spider amp is designed for the narrower range of frequencies; it does not handle the higher end and overtones of an acoustic guitar very well.
Bonzoso 1 Posted April 15, 2018 Will using the line 6 amp with an acoustic guitar have any adverse effect on the amp?

The combination of tweeter handling the higher frequencies and guitar speaker handling the mids and lows allows yout to get some great acoustic tones from a combo amp. You may have noticed there are acoustic presets in Spider V that should get you going quick in dialing in an acoustic tone.
