mattko16
Hello Line 6 forum, new user here to the forum and the Helix LT. I noticed the Cali Rectifire amp controls (bass, mid, high) barely has a sweep. Is this simply the nature of this amp model? Do I need to utilize an EQ to further adjust? Thank you for any input -Matt
phil_m
The tone stacks on Mesa amps are notoriously highly interactive, meaning the effect one knob has on the signal can vary depending on where the other ones are set. But to answer your question, if you're not getting what you want from the on-board EQ, sure, add an EQ block in your chain to shape your tone how you want it. The Mesa manual is very specific about how the tone stack works, and it differs somewhat depending on the channel. Do you know which of the 3 channels is modeled?
