EXP1 "on boot"

Here is another question about the expression pedals. I read a lot of answers and questions but none of them really answers my question.

Wah pedals are always added as EXP1 -  Volume pedals as EXP2 - copy that, thats alright.

But I dont use any volume pedal, I only use wah pedals. And my "problem" is that when starting up the helix or selecting a preset, the buildin pedal is always assigned to EXP2 and I have to step on the toe switch to change it to EXP1. I remember bad days on stage where I forget this...

Is there any way that the pedal starts up as EXP1? I know I can assume all wahs to EXP2 or I can put in just a simple cable into the EXP2 input (that changes the buildin pedal to EPX1, you dont have to add an extra pedal). But it would be nicer when it would startup with EXP1 without any workaraounds or using the toe switch on each preset.

If you want the WAH to be ON (engaged) when you load the preset, save it that way and it will come up as EXP1. If you save it in the OFF condition (not engaged), it'll be EXP2, ready to be engaged when you WANT it engaged.

IOW, for the WAH, EXP1=ON (engaged), EXP2=OFF (not engaged). It's still "assigned" to EXP1 either way.

Or am I misunderstanding the problem?

Ah, ok. setting to on as rd2rk worked indeed,

I'm really new to the Helix, how can I set the pedal to autoengage? Didnt find it yet.

But in total the Helix is not such a problem when you come from the HD500x as I do :D
