jrgdecardenas
Hi there, I am trying to figure out how to program stomp pedals in helix so that you can switch between them and just hear that effect without having to turn the previous one off! For example i have mine set to 4 snapshot - 4 stomp mode. I have 3 modulation and 1 delay in stomp mode and would like to turn that effect on just like you would in a pedal loop switcher without tap dancing. My M13 did this and i loved it! rd2rk
You can switch between pedals A and B, or any other combination of two, but to make it work like a loop switcher you need to use snapshots.
brue58ski
So if I understand you correctly, you should be set up to do exactly what you want to do. My guess is you do not see the stomps names yet in that mode. The stomps are not automatically assigned to any footswitches. So...if the snapshots are in the top row and the stomps are in the bottom row, you will need to assign each effect to a footswitch. The footswitches are numbered. The top row is 1-6, the bottom row is 7-12. So it sounds like footswitches 8-11 are your stomps footswitches and the effects need to be assigned to those. See page 40 of the manual for how to do this. The section is called Bypass Assign. As you assign the footswitches to the the stomps, their name will appear in the scribble strip above the footswitch you've assigned it to. Hope this helps. jrgdecardenas
For example. Let’s say I set up 4 stomp pedal in top row. 1 chorus 2 flanger 3 phaser etc... would like to hear the chorus pedal then say I want to switch to JUST flanger without layering both effects at same time Currently i would have to turn off the chorus off then hit the flanger, very annoying! I do use snapshot regularly but only with lots of pedals and parameters changing at the same time. Didn’t see any kind of footswitch command that allows this?? Cheers! If there's only the 2 pedals involved, just assign both devices to the same button, the default ON and the other OFF. The scribble will say MULTI. You can customize it to say CH/FL or some such. If there's more than 2 pedals involved in the formula you'll need to use snapshots. Keep in mind that doing it this way, you won't be able to have BOTH ON or OFF. Again, use snapshots.
