rd2rk Posted October 4, 2018 Share Posted October 4, 2018 In Ableton's PREFERENCES, go to the AUDIO Tab. Make sure the Sample Rate matches the Helix (Helix is 48000 by default, but check). Click the INPUT CONFIG Button. Set the Buffer size as low as your computer will allow (if you get pops or crackles when playing/recording go higher). 128 should work for virtually undetectable latency, 256 might be noticeable, if you have to go higher than that you need to make sure there's nothing else running in the background and that your PC is optimized for audio apps. Failing that you need a better computer. With your speakers connected to Helix, set the Track Record/Monitor button in Ableton to OFF. You're now monitoring direct from Helix, zero latency.
