Vlakanas
Newbie here to Helix. Dove right in , coming up for air. On an existing preset, set to a particular Fs, I want to be able to just activate on/off an effect (block), in the chain. Can I do that? How? Thanks
silverhead
Assign the FX block to a footswitch. Make sure the display is set to a mode where the footswitch labels are visible (see the manual for details).
rd2rk
Touch the desired switch. Pess the last knob (Assign Footswitch - OK).
Vlakanas
Okay. NOW, can I have some (eg. distortion) effect , on or off, on the same foot switch? What I mean is , the FS, with its block, is on. Then on the same foot switch, press is on to turn on, another effect. Press it again, that effect , off. Back to the basic block. This way I don't need another FS for the effect. Hope Im explaining what I want to do with it , clearly. Thanks
rd2rk
It's a simple either or toggle. IF Default (saved state) = FS1 Block1 ON Block2 OFF THEN when you press FS1, Block1 toggles OFF Block2 toggles ON. Only 2 states allowed: You can toggle: both blocks ON both blocks OFF OR Block1 ON / Block2 OFF Block1 OFF / Block2 ON Hope that's clear. silverhead
.... or, you could read the manual......and not need hand-holding.
rd2rk
Pick a factory preset that has 2 effects.Set 1 ON and the other OFF. Select the one you want ON when you load the preset. In Stomp mode, touch (don't press) a footswitch. On the screen, above the last knob it will say "OK". Press that knob. Select the effect you want to be OFF when you load the preset. Touch the same button. Press the OK knob. Now when you press that footswitch the 2 effects will toggle. When you do this in your own preset, don't forget to SAVE! See page 40 in the manual. Vlakanas
Ha! Not even close. Its a RELIGION. In Quebec city, its politics. Reading the manual. Enjoy Doug Ford.
