realdj1969
Can HX stomp do channel switching for my Peavey 6506 MH Head ?
phil_m
The Stomp doesn't have the EXT AMP jack like other Helix products. Even if it did, the 6506 has a DIN-style connector for channel control, so a simple 1/4" relay plug wouldn't be of much use. There may be ways to switch it using a third party device, a custom cable and MIDI.
rd2rk
You mean the 6505MH, right? The 6505MH has TR/TRS type switching jacks, but as phil_m said, the Stomp doesn't have those switching jacks. There are devices (MIDI Solutions) that can convert MIDI messages to TR/TRS type switching functions, but since the Stomp has very limited MIDI capability (it'll send a matching PC# when you change presets), this is a minimally useful solution. macelind
If you have a midi controller, I personally have a Morningstar MC6II, you could use something like a Voodoo Lab Control Switcher MIDI Amp Channel Switcher to change channels on your Peavey. RJM makes a similar device called the Amp Gizmo.
rd2rk
The VDL Control Switcher was the one I was thinking of. It works with PC messages, so the HXS will work with it. RTM BEFORE spending the $140 for the unit!
