Today's been rough, connected my Helix to the computer I've been using it with for 2 years, BSOD likely due to windows update. No problem, switch to my macbook after usual driver troubleshooting fails, now I've got my backup, install HX Edit 2.80 per instructions, and line 6 updater isn't showing the Helix, but HX Edit can see it just fine. Any suggestions?

First off exit HX Edit. It will interfere with the Updater's ability to see the Helix. Also, did you download the "HX Edit Version 2.80" file? This will ensure that you have the correctly matched versions of "HX Edit", driver, and the Updater. They will all be in this file when you unzip/unpack it.

Did it update to v2.80 successfully on your Mac? Are you saying that it's not recognized by Updater running on your PC? HX Edit v2.80 running on your PC recognizes it?

Do you have the Helix Rack? If so, restart it holding down encoders 1 + 6 to force it to start up in manual update mode. Then start the Updater program again. Does Updater now recognize it as running v2.80? If so, start the v2.80 update again.

So, figured out that the logitech GHUB software causes conflicts in Windows, killing that fixed my Windows issue. Never did figure out why the line6 updater wasn't recognizing the helix. HX Edit was closed. But update completed successfully on the Windows machine, so time to make some noise.
