Hello,

I am in a worship band ...and we are going  in-ears so my vox AC 15 isnt gonna cut it...So i was thinking of getting the Helix LT (as the bigger Helix is to expensive)

Question...Ive read about alot of issues with the expression pedal breaking on the LT...have they resolved that yet? or is it still a problem????

Thanks in advanced !

The issue with the LT expression pedal actually didn't have anything to do with the pedal itself. It had to do with some defective housings that were incorrectly stamped by a couple of metal fabrication machines at the plant. Those pieces were thrown in with all the housings created by other machines, and this happens before the units are given a serial number. If you can imagine, they just have big bin of housing that they pick from as they're making the unit. Now it's been long enough that all of those housing should be out of the system, but there are still reports of broken pedals that come trickling in. It has definitely slowed down.

Regardless of all of that, Line 6 has issued a no questions asked, lifetime replacement warranty for any LT that has this issue. So even you bought it secondhand and the standard warranty is expired, Line 6 will still give you a free replacement. So you shouldn't worry about it.

And even if the above weren't true, you can never tell how long a unit has sat in a retailer's inventory before it makes it's way to your living room. The truth is a handful of those the defective units might still be getting sold 3 years from now... that's why they've extended the warranty on this particular issue forever.

Regardless, if you want one, buy one... if you let the possibility of getting a bum unit affect your decision, you'll never buy anything. Every product on earth has it's batch of lemons.
