DaYUPR
So i bought an HD500x and for the life of me i can't get this thing to play nice with my PC. From what i've read through the forums, watched in videos, and from just googling this, I SHOULD be able to hear my guitar through my headphones on my computer with everything plugged in...but i can't. Let me run down a list of everything i can think of so there is less confusion hopefully Guitar is plugged in via standard 1/4 cable in the "guitar in" port on the 500x usb is going from the 500x to the PC, it is recognizing it, 500x edit is recognizing it, even when i set it as my default output device i see the "test mic" bar going up and down with my playing and stopping. Power is obviously in and it is turned on (didn't think i had to put this part in but why not cover ALL basses It works just fine when plugged into my boss katana amp and my orange amp. I have tried multiple 1/4 cables, multiple usb cables, and 2 different guitars. i have tried just pushing the volume pedal forward. I have turned up all the knobs (volume and master included) and everything in between "Guitar switch" is on normal, "XLR" is on grounded, and 1/4" out is on line (ive tried various combinations of them and still nothing) All the software is up to date...kind of (whenever i go to line 6 monkey, a notification comes up saying "A new recommended Line 6 monkey update is available. Would you like to update now?" and when i click yes, it pops up with the message (failed to launch installer. A web browser will open with a link to the installer so you can download and run it manually. But no matter how many times i try and reinstall any software it says the same thing. The only part in the Line 6 monkey thing that is not a green check mark is all the way at the bottom, an application labeled "Line 6 Monkey v1.73) Also to go with the last part i said. When i do press on the link to the web browser, it takes me to a page that says "At this time, there is no software available that matches your selection." I've tried both a USB headset and a Aux headset. Please help i've been working on this for like 2 hours and can't get this f*****g thing to work and i'm getting very frustrated. Plus, i know the problem is probably going to be something very dumb that i overlooked and will be kicking myself over once i figure out what the thing is. Once i can get this thing working i would also like help resetting it as it is a pre-owned product and has a lot of presets that i don't want on it and can't seem to figure out how to delete them. The headphones must be connected to the POD phones output, not to the PC. The reason is that you are using the POD as audio interface, and not the integrated AI of your PC. Also, with the POD connected to the PC, make sure that the hardware monitor level is full up. Open the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices control panel and check the above setting. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
pianoguyy
why would you want to listen through your computer? do you have some kind of special speakers set up or something. because my tiny little 1 inch speakers aren't going to cut it.
