drbilldc
I'm using a POD HD 500 and a DT25 connected ONLY by the L6 link. Does the output selector even matter since all the date is running thru the L6 Link? also I installed the new firmware and now the POD thru the DT25 sounds like CRAP (fat bastard accent) for example, on the acoustic guitar Line 6 patches there's WAY too much bass when I strum an open chord, so much so that it distorts the speaker in the DT25. the patches that I have made sound completely different now even though all the settings were maintained when I did the update. some factory patches don't even come thru, they're silent. The whole 2/3 of the dream rig now sounds like CRAP!! *note, i'm playing in low volume mode. Another way to describe some other patches is: it sounds like i'm listening to it from another room, or there's a box over the DT25 if that helps. malnack
Strange. I'm running a similar setup, HD500 into DT25 via L6 link and a JTV59 via Variax cable. I just updated the POD firmware last week and haven't noticed any real changes in tone. I think I was on firmware that was about a year old prior to that. Some of my tones with a Blackface and Strat setup are so bright that I think they might be too bright,
edstar1960
After you upgraded the firmware on the HD500, did you do the GLOBAL PARAMETERs reset and then re-calibrate your expression pedal? It's easy enough to forget to do those two things, but they are essential to ensure the firmware works as expected. If you did follow those steps, then it is worth trying to re-install the latest firmware, reset GLOBAL and re-calibrate at least one more time (if not more) to ensure you are not suffering from a corrupted flash update. Charlie_Watt
Make sure your Output Mode is same as before. Reloading FW will reset global settings.
