jmlakar
In addition to the original question, I’m needing help with patch settings when going direct to mixer for live gigs. I know you have to toggle the output on the menu to “direct”, but from patch building standpoint, what is the rule of thumb when not using an amp? Do I need to make sure I model an amp and cab? Anything else I should be aware of. Sorry for the noob question and thanks !
pianoguyy
You don't "have to" do anything. The only rule is - do what you need to do to make it sound good. But, as discovered by the millions that have come before you, a good starting point for going direct is use studio/direct. Oh, and, since we are talking about patch development, don't try designing direct patches on a guitar amp. Make sure you are using a flat system (like a pa would provide) to hear the tone you are making.
skullguitar666
I need help. I just bought a rack mount setup with a Crown amp. I'm not getting any sound from it. My guitar is hooked up, I have the xlrs going out of both channels into my power amp and and both cables going out the my stereo 4x12 cab. Volumes are up but I still dont have sound. Any suggestions? pianoguyy
did you try other outputs to see if the device is working? There are so many parameters on this thing, it could be a number of things.
