fgmarand
Just had a problem yesterday on stage: plugging my Variax Bass to the Bass Pod XT Live with the Variax connector started causing variable issues: most of the time, the sound works, but the Pod is frozen: no way to change sounds, switch to tuning mode; and even the volume pedal does nothing. The pod display switches from its normal display (bank/number) to something with a dot in it and a lowercase letter sometimes, there is just no sound other times, there is a low-level sound, very weak. unplugging the Variax restores the Pod operation; replugging it makes the problem reappear Any suggestions ? psarkissian
Both the bass and the POD need to be check by a Line 6 authorized service center. Voltage draw down somewhere cause other issues. Needs to be properly troubleshooted by a Line 6 authorized service center. That will not be user self repairable issue.
fgmarand
Thanks for your answer. If I understand how the site works, it seems I should contact sav@melison.fr , that site being the only one listed around Paris. Is that correct ? psarkissian
Yes, but call them first, check to be certain they can do both electronics and guitars. Could be something electronic in the bass guitar that is pulling down the POD, or the other way around.
fgmarand
Finally got an answer from melison: they say Line6 no longer provides spare parts for the Variax 700 so they cannot do it. Any suggestion ?
dec33162
But did they even check it to see if the issue is with the Bass? As stated, the issue could be with the POD XT Live!
fgmarand
No, they didn't. I guess they don't want to have to spend time diagnosing something for which they won't be able to sell a repair.
