RESET TO NOTHING

I held down button 7 and 8 to go back to factory reset. I now have nothing. Every bank is 100% blank. How do I get back to or load up a basic setup?

You don’t explain what happened to your Helix so that you felt it was necessary to perform a Factory Reset.

You could try FS 6&12 and reinstall the firmware.

 

Should have taken the blue pill.

8 & 9	Reset setlists to factory, Clear IRs
9 & 10	Reset setlists to factory, Global reset, Clear IRs
10 & 11	Upgrades existing presets to latest format
11 & 12	Clear current preset
5 & 12	Clear setlists, clear IRs, Return system settings to default
6 & 12	Safe boot mode

To use Reset Options:

• Power off the Helix
• Hold the desired button combination
• Power on the Helix
• Release the button combination

Please note: Buttons are numbered from top left to bottom right.

 

Oh, yeah - you did make a backup, didn’t you?

Above should get you back to "factory" presets and settings.

If that doesn't work you'll likely need to re-install the latest FW. DL the latest version of HXEdit (2.82) and follow the instructions. Close HXEdit before running the updater!

 

If you're trying to get back your custom setlists, you'll have to restore them from your backups. You DID make backups, right?
