This is the main patch I use for my Black Sabbath Tribute band.

 

I use DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups and run the PODHD Studio/Direct output in stereo to the Effects return of a pair of JCM900 Marshall amps.  It has a nice stereo effect with live performances.  I don't use the 4cm method.

 

It may give you some ideas for things to try when you build your own tones.  I learned some interesting things with compressors that help solos cut through a mix.
