mplarmar
Hey everyone, Being stuck in a small apartment during Covid and annoying my neighbors has gotten me very ready to dump my conventional Amp and Pedalboard for a Helix! I have a quick question that someone might be able to answer for me. I am looking to have 3 Gain settings (Clean/Rhythm/Lead) and add 5 different effects (Pitch/Mod/Delay/Reverb) to those base settings. This gives me so many possible sounds for each level of gain! Is this possible? To me it looks as though the closest i could get is the "Preset/Stomp" or "Stomp/Preset" modes which would mean i lose 1 whole "Stomp" from my possibilities. I guess what i am really asking.. Can i set each of the 8 footswitches to Preset/Stomp/Snapshot as i wish? or am i confined to the modes in the Global settings only allowing for the top row to be one type and the bottom row be another? No. The modes are what they are. However, there's no reason that you can't do what you've described either in Snapshot, or Stomp/ Snap modes... you'll have to experiment a bit and see what works best for you. phil_m
With the new HX Preset and HX Snapshot commands that were added, you can indeed set up Stomp Mode footswitches however you want them in each preset. So you do have that option.
