Hi, I'm a novice when it comes to amps and have a HX stomp. Never really enjoyed the sound but dont know how to set up a good one.

Does anybody know of any idiot guides/info sites etc. that i may be able to learn something?

All the amps that are preloaded just sound different versions of each other, which do i choose to start with?

I play rock rhytm but use dirty, clean and stuff in between sounds - using a PRS copy with neck and tail split coil humbuckers which can be independantly controlled to be single/hum and also in/out of phase.

If you don't have real world experience with the "amps/cabs/mics" it can be an overwhelming experience to say the least.

If you don't know what the differences are, they will all just sound like amps. They do have distinct differences, but if you don't know what your are listening for you won't notice. This is normal!

You can learn a lot by researching what is used by your favorite artists/players. You start to connect the dots and realize you need to lean certain directions for certain sounds.

Those are broad terms.... can you name any artists/songs you might want to get a tone for?
