Zentorz Posted February 27, 2021 Share Posted February 27, 2021 I have tried to find the answer in the forums and other places, so sorry if it is out there somewhere. My Helix floor went crazy this last summer, had to send it in. Once I got it back it has been driving me nuts: When I set up my blocks Helix throws up the "assign bypass" window. For whatever reason, it does not like where I assign whatever... I can then let it have its way putting the bypass switch order into chaotic crap rather than where I want/ need them.. and as soon as I try to turn on/off something it wants to change it again. I can not even adjust settings as Helix keeps throwing me back to whatever it is tripping about... and worse... Presets that have not had problems ever before are now doing it.. every preset.. The thing is MAD.. I have to assume that there is a setting somewhere " Presets gone wild" or" Jack the musician up constantly".. but not sure where that might be. I have changed the order on how the blocks are laid out, though, of course, that changes the sound.. sometimes it makes the Helix happy but then it ruins the effect chain.. I have started over from scratch, I have the latest downloads for both Edit and board.. Nothing fixes this... Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rd2rk Posted February 27, 2021 Share Posted February 27, 2021 Maybe if you describe, in detail, how the problem happens? Because what you describe above is, in fact, crazy. You add a block and it sends up a window that says "Assign Bypass" all by itself? Then assigns the bypass switch wherever it wants, not where you tell it to? And this happens on a new preset? Re-install v3.0 HX Edit. Then do a factory reset. If that doesn't fix it, re-install the v3.01 FW. If that doesn't fix it, something is definitely not right. You say you "sent it in"? phil_m Posted February 27, 2021 Share Posted February 27, 2021 I'm really having trouble understanding what's being described in the first post. If you had a video, that would be helpful. One thing that does come to mind is that with the capacitive touch switches, sometimes the Bypass Assign screen will pop up if you inadvertently brush your hand across the top of the foot switches. I hit cancel.. , I turn on the wah.. Do you want to resign? usually the amp Cancel turn off the wah Do you want to resign? Fine=reassign.. changes nothing Do you want to reassign? ok ( again) do you want to reassign? Then it will throw multiples under the same button and then it'll ask to re-assign while I am trying to find out what it just threw all together no matter what is the "target" in the window No matter what I touch no matter..well anything totally random on where it wants to put whatever it wants to put.. If I touch a bypass ( so basically use the board ) it starts all over again. Today is the worst .. I had weeks where it was happy.. That'll teach me to dust it.. didn't change any settings.. Try going to Global Settings>Footswitches>Stomp Select and turning it to Off to see if that helps. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I went into global.. to stomp setting and turned it off rather than any of the other settings... for these last couple minutes it stopped the insanity.. though not positive by any means..
