If you are using the expression pedal toe switch to alternate between wah and pitch wham for example it sounds to me like you may need either a second pitch block detuned a half step that becomes active when you switch to the wah. Or, I suppose, depending on how you were using the pitch wham you could clear the bypass assignment for the pitch wham so it stays active when switching to wah.  Or you could get a Variax :-)

Hi,

I have to agree with “HonestOpinion” in the post above. From your description, I’m guessing that you have applied the drop tuning using the Pitch Wham effect block which is variable. Instead, if you use the Simple Pitch block to detune the half step, then that will not vary when you use the wah pedal.

If it still switches back to 440 after applying the suggested changes, let us know and please give a little more detail about the settings, or better yet, upload the preset so we can check it out for problems.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Backups hopefully? Next I would uninstall HX Edit and download and install HX Edit 3.0.1 again.  You can then try some of the global reset options here https://helixhelp.com/tips-and-guides/universal/reset-options.  With luck that will get you back in business and you can try the firmware upgrade through HX Edit again if necessary.  If that fails download the Line6 Updater and use that to finish the firmware update.

When you say ‘they are there to use’ I assume you mean they appear in the model list but are greyed out and can’t be selected. That’s the indicator that there is insufficient DSP remaining in the preset to use them. To test, try selecting a New Preset and then select the Poly FX as the only block in the preset. If you are still unable to select it/them then there is a problem. Otherwise, this is normal behaviour and common to all DSP intensive FX blocks when the preset is nearing its DSP capacity.

Also,  make sure you have the compatible v3.x version of the HX Edit program.

That did the trick, i selected a New Preset (like you said) and then selected the Poly FX as the only block and they are not greyed out anymore i can choose whatever Poly Pitch i need , thank you very much for your help Silverhead...
