Helix Stomp into Midi Interface

I am well familiar with midi and midi interfaces (I'm a synth guy), but I just purchased a Stomp as my first guitar effects unit.  Though I know I can plug this directly into a computer for Midi, is it possible to route the HX Stomp into a midi interface (I have a MioXL) via USB?

USB Midi requires a HOST which is what a computer is when you connect to that.

Usually when you connect to other 3rd party midi gear it is done through standard midi ports (DIN).

Disclaimer: I do not use, or know anything about the MioXL so I do not know if it can operate as a host or not. If it can... then it should work.

Hi,

As the iConnectivity mioXL is a MIDI networking interface with 22 MIDI ports and the HX Stomp has MIDI IN OUT/THRU on DIN sockets, surely it’s just a question of hooking it up. Although, it does depend what you are wanting to do with the Stomp MIDI options. You may be better off consulting the manual for the network hub, or proving a little more info about what you want to achieve.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Just an FYI to close the loop on this.  I was able to successfully run midi into the Stomp through the MioXL with no problem.  Was even able to create a Cubase patch script for it.   However, I was NOT able to get HX Edit to work at all in this configuration.  It seems as if it will ONLY look for a local USB connection.
