jhall5
I've been a fan and user of Line6 products since the Pod 2.0 came out. I bought easily a thousand or two dollars worth of their products over the years. Everything seemed to just WORK with Line6 stuff. That was until I ponied up the $400.00 for Helix Native. (A fairly high sum considering the price of other decent newer VST guitar specific software). It seemed fine for a while until I all of a sudden can't get it to load in Reaper without error codes. I tried all of the Different advice threads to no avail. Guess I'll just have to move on from Line6. Bummer they have a good thing here. phil_m
This seems rather defeatist… Plenty of people are using Native with Reaper, myself included, with no issues. What operating system are you using? Have you opened up a support ticket? I’m sure that your issue can be resolved, but it’s going to take a little bit of effort… Frankly, I’m surprised you’d be so quick to just give up. Your best move would been to contact Customer Support, as you say that everything was fine, then it stopped loading into Reaper. There has to something that changed somewhere down the line, but you are quick to leap to the conclusion that Line 6 Native is at fault. You don’t mention what computer and OS you’re using - has anything changed there? What version of Reaper are you using - have you updated that? I generally use Logic Pro on my Mac, but I have several other DAWs installed for troubleshooting, one of which is Reaper - it works just fine for me. Don’t be so hasty. Hope this helps/makes sense. It's definitely my PC! It is an i7 based windows 10 machine with 24 gig of ram 1TB SSD. I just authorized my Macbook Pro (i5 with 8 gig 512 gig SSD) downloaded Helix Native for that and it worked without a hitch. I'd MUCH rather use the PC as I'm more used to Reaper on it and have a beautiful 32" display in my studio annex. I do have Guitar Rig-6 and Amplitube-5 full with all the bells and whistles but I really prefer Line6 stuff and always have but at least I know I didn't "lose my license so to speak! Hi again, Glad to know that helix Native works as it should on the MBP, next thing you need to figure out is "what changed on the PC?" Then you can get back to having all that on screen real estate. Hmm... IIRC, I'm almost sure that I came across a comment somewhere (TGP, Facebook or whatever), about a video card that was screwing some things up. Plus there is also the dreaded SD card thing with some PC systems. You might want to trawl through the posts on here and the main Helix forum to see if you can find anything that might give you a clue. Hope this helps/makes sense
