AndrewRWhitfield
Is it possible to reassign the mapping of a single expression pedal on the fly, either by pressing a foot switch or by changing the snapshot? Example: Exp1 - set to control the amount of delay blended into the signal. I want to press a button that turns off this control and maps it over to changing the wah position. Then when I press the button again it changes back. Appreciate all advice. (Am using HX Effects)
codamedia
No, not exactly as you hope and/or describe. The best you can do is assign the EXP to both the WAH and the DELAY MIX, then have a switch toggle between the two effects. Of course.... you would lose any/all delay when you toggle the WAH on unless you have a 2nd "fixed delay" block you could utilize at that time. Examples: EXP 1 on my LT is a volume control and a wah. The Toe Switch determines which block (volume or wah) is active. Also on my LT, I assign EXP 2 to multiple things.... but all things that would NEVER be run at the same time. Vibe speed / depth Chorus depth Tremolo depth specialty delay level.... a special delay I setup for dotted 8th, or longer tap "lead" style delays. etc... etc.... Although the EXP controls all of these settings at all times.... snapshots and stomp mode determines what effect is actually ON at any given time. It's extremely flexible, but takes some planning. theElevators
You can assign multiple parameters to the same exp predal: wah curve, volume pedal sweep, distortion amount, delay tempo. Then you can save your snapshots where In Snapshot 1: your delay is mix is 0%, and your wah mix is 0%. In Snapshot 2: your delay is mixed at 50%, distortion is mixed at 0 Using the mix parameter, you can effectively BYPASS some blocks. I have one preset where I control different things by the same exp pedal depending on the snapshot.
kduck
I've not tried this with my Helix floor's built-in expression pedal, but trust that what @codamedia and @theElevators have said is correct. I do, however, use a Morningstar controller and external expression pedal to do exactly what you describe.
