avanveld
I've read the Line6 post above that their things that run on Big Sur "should" run on Monterey...but am wondering if anyone has tried it. I use Helix Native with LogicPro and MainStage. TKS.
xutiantim
I'm running M1 chip Mac on Monterey. Unfortunately the Helix Native plug-in can't load in LogicPro and MainStage as of today.
doloo
I'm on Monterey M1 Chip Macbook. Helix Native plug-in won't load in LogicPro or MainStage as of today. Can still open GUI of Helix Native in LogicPro, but Error message says 'DSP engine fail to load' of sort.
avanveld
ok/tks. As feared. Helix was why I had to wait so long for the last macOS update...and it seems it will be this way again. All of my other critical apps (SMAART, VMware....) are already good. Seems odd to me that Line6 (or Yamaha or whoever is in charge) can't sort out how to stay/get current w/ these updates. As a college trained programmer, I realize there are lots of issues but so many other companies have it worked out. Peace.
bfunk1978
This is super frustrating. I just bought a 16" MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro chip and Big Sur is not an option; these came with Monterey installed out of the box.
avanveld
ouch...congrats on the new MBP at least. It's still befuddling how seemingly 99% of software companies can roll w/ new OS but these music related ones are seemingly always lagging. doloo
Just figured out a workaround that works for me. Find Logic Pro in FInder > Right click "Get Info" > Tick the box "Open with Rosetta" > (Optional) reinstall Helix plugin if necessary. My rig is 2021 MBP 16" with M1 chip running on Montery. This works for me. Hope it would help. Good luck and rock on.
stephan194
Is there finally a solution for this problem? Even when starting Logic with Rosetta it crashes when selecting Helix Native as a plugin on a track. MacOS 12.6, Logic 10.7.4, Helix Native 3.
MrDRC
I was here November 2021 looking for this solution and its absolutely dumbfounding there STILL isn't a resolution. What the hell is going on with Line 6? I've been a big supporter of Line 6 but this is beyond ridiculous. There is no excuse, NONE. Guess they just dont give a rip about Logic users when they just leave us twisting in the wind.
avanveld
L6 is always late, as are other 'music' software companies. Routinely annoying
