Marco-L6
Hi First time poster here. I have searched, but couldn’t find the answer to my query. I currently have a Helix Floor and and also bought Helix Native at the discounted price - £99 here in the UK. What I would like to do is sell the Helix Floor and buy an HX Stomp, but keep or transfer my copy of Native. I would like to deregister the Helix so that the buyer can qualify for the Native discount, but keep the licence for Native I already have to go with the new HX Stomp Is this possible? Thanks
silverhead
I believe you can transfer the Helix Native license associated with your Helix Floor as long as you have owned the Helix Floor for at least 6 months. I know there’s detailed information posted by Line 6 about doing this but I can’t seem to find it in the Knowledge Base at the moment. I suggest you open a support ticket to talk directly with Line 6 who will guide you through the license transfer possibility for your license and associated procedures. Your new (not used) Helix Stomp will allow you to purchase a new Helix Native license at the discounted price.
soundog
@silverheadis right. I had a similar situation, and Line 6 support (via a ticket) was very helpful. After your sell/buy you will essentially have 2 hardware devices, and 2 HXN discount licenses (one used, one not). But Line 6 support will need to "push the right buttons" on their end to handle the HXN licensing. To do that, the person buying your Helix Floor will need to have a Line 6 account, and hopefully then they should be able to make it all work. But definately open a ticket and explain everything first before you put your Floor up for sale, so things go smoothly without surprises for buyer or seller.
