vayne1
I have a 100W Boss Katana MKII that iI' using as a power amp and the speaker is already voiced for guitar and I am hooking up my HD 500 to it. I need to shut off the Cab Sim on my presets as it sounds like crap with it on (obviously). How can I do that via the onboard buttons? Or do I need to do that thru the desktop edit program? Any detailed help would be appreciated.

How can I do that via the onboard buttons? Very easy! Move the pointer over the amp model block, and then turn the rotary encoder no. 2 below the screen counterclockwise until "NO CAB" appears on the display. This is a per patch setting (not global), therefore to become permanent the patch needs to be saved. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
pianoguyy
and as far as the 'crap' sound you are getting.... you could try creating tones without amps and cabs. you can also try some of the global settings to see if any of them give enough default tweaks to turn your crap into manure.
