I have just opened my wonderful new Pod HD 500X, set it up, plugged into my comp & downloaded the HD edit software but when I plug my guitar in absolutely nothing. Tried all sorts but as I am quite a novice when it comes down to this, any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance, Rich. phil_m Posted March 18, 2014 Share Posted March 18, 2014 When you plug the HD500X into your computer, it becomes your computer's soundcard. So you won't hear anything from your onboard speakers. You download a DAW like Reaper or Mixcraft or something, set up a track and arm it with the POD, then monitor the track through the DAW, then it can be set up to listen through your computer's speakers if you so desire.
