ziatriguy
About 4 years ago I switched from my pedalboard/amp to an HD500x. Went to a silent stage. I just got a Ruby in. I would like to put it at the end of my pedal train, then into my HD500x. Two questions: If I use my pedalboard, what sort of things should I put on the patch? No amp of course, but what do I need to just run my pedalboard into the pod XLR to the house? Lastly, Effects loop. Should I try to use the pods effects loop or route it some other way? silverhead
What’s a Ruby, other than a jewel stone?
pianoguyy
UAFX Ruby '63 Top Boost Amplifier ? According to what little I read on it - I wouldn't put it "at the end". I would put it in the fx loop. And I would put it where you would put any amp model... being that it is essentially an amp modeler.
ziatriguy
I played around yesterday for a couple hours. The Ruby (yest the UAFX Ruby amp pedal) went at the end of the pedalboard into the guitar in on the pod. The pod patch has a couple rare effects (chorus, trem, octaver) that sound really cool being after the "amp". Then XLR out to the board. It took a good bit of tweaking but it sounds really really good! The pedals are old home to me. Having both is the best of both worlds. I finally dont miss my amp at church.
