casper0077
I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but when I plug my Line 6 Helix directly to a Behringer x32 mixer, it sounds terrible. I was expecting that when I connect it to the x32, it would give me the same result as when I put my headphones directly trough the Helix (what sounds fantastic). I just use a XLR cable from the main out (mono) of the helix, directly to the XLR in of the x32. I've no knowledge of the x32 whatsoever, so I don't know if the way it's plugged in is wrong, or it has wrong settings on the x32. Help is much appreciated! :)
silverhead
First thought is that there’s a Level mismatch between the XLR output of your Helix and the Input of your x32. The XLR input of your x32 is probably expecting a mic level signal. Check the XLR Output Level setting on your Helix and set it to Mic. See Global Settings -> Ins/Outs pg 2. casper0077
Thanks for your quick response! I'll try it and let you know if this was the problem!
brue58ski
There's another issue that may be the problem. You need to make sure the phantom power on your input to the X32 is turned off. The Hellix does not like nor deal with phantom power very well. Having said that, I am familiar with the X32 and one of the major plusses but also a negative is how it can be setup to many different configurations. it just takes one person changing one thing to screw things up. I would strongly suggest downloadng the X32 manual. I needed it to navigate that board. You can download it here. https://www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=P0ASF On the side there it says PRODUCT LIBRARY. Go to the DOCUMENTATION dropdown menu. I do think it's a very cool board because of it's versatility.
