First of I'm not sure this is quite the right forum för this question - if no it'd mu bad.

Since updating my HX Stomp to 3.6 - I can still create new Presets & save them.

However I can't name them - when create a new preset & name it - DIR-R66-4Bell -

and press save on the computer keyboars - or the 2 bottuns on the stomp & press rotary sav -

or with the mouse choose "Save preset" in the HX File menu - the given preset reverts the default "New Preset".

My computer is a Mac Minin M1 (Apple Silicon) running Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1

Did you performed a factory reset after the update as recommended?

Regarding your preset renaming, make sure you hit the Enter (or Return) key to complete the renaming procedure. Unless you do this the name reverts to its previous state.

The reset does, indeed, remove your custom setlists. Use HX Edit to Restore the backup file created at the beginning of the update procedure. The reset procedure installed the new factory presets in v3.6. If you want to retain them deselect the factory setlist(s?) during the restore procedure. Click on the triangle beside the Presets list and uncheck these ones.

I’m talking about a little triangle that appears during the Restore from Backup dialogue box. It shows you all components that are present in the backup file and you get to select which ones to install. On my Helix Rack there are 8 setlists which appear when you click on the triangle left of the word Presets. I don’t know exactly how the dialogue appears for an HX Stomp backup but you should be able to extrapolate. Again, this dialogue appears when you select Restore from Backup in the HX Edit File menu.

Actually, looking at the HX stomp manual the Setlist concept may not exist, in which case there will be no option to select which setlists to restore, so no triangle. Also, not having an HX Stomp I don’t know whether or not there are any new presets for it.

Hopefully someone familiar with the HX Stomp will jump in here.

Yes I did indeed - what I noticed was that my own previously created presets were gone - only the factory ones were present.

Another thing I noticed in 3.60 update - there isnt any bass amps any more.

There used to at least 2 Ampeg amps and some MESA Boogie Bass 400 amps.

Wherehave thay gone to??+

The Bass amps are in their own subsection of the Amp FX Types category. In HX Edit select the Amp models from the left list of FX types. Then click on the arrow beside the word Guitar in the list of guitar amps. Select Bass to list the Bass amps.
