themetallikid
Can someone test this preset for me? i'm not sure what I'm hearing....This is for the Meredith Brooks song lollipop, I have 4 snapshots, Clean/Bridge (acoustic sound)/Chorus/Lead. I have a wah set to auto engage with heel down being off at 5%. The preset sounds great to me so far, but when I engage the WAH, its like something is overloading or clipping. It doesnt sound like something I would dial in. All my settings seem 'normal' (for me), nothing on the Helix is clipping that I can see, but the wah sounds terrible. It sounds like there is a fuzz engaged or its overloading some other input. Could it just be the combination of the wah and GrammaticoLG Brt? Appreciate any confirmation...didnt want to sound the BUG alarm like everyone else does before I can confirm I'm not the idiot here (usually the case) Bitch.hlx
rd2rk
I have no clue what "Lollipop" is supposed to sound like, so I'm not sure what it is you're after. The "Lead" snapshot is nasty sounding (intentional?), but, no, I don't hear anything that sounds like clipping when the wah is on. Might just be that the 808 just isn't playing nice with the settings on the Grammatico. I was testing it with a guitar that has a JB in the bridge, so pretty high output. themetallikid
Lollipop, lol...forgot about that filter, lol. Nasty sounding...hmm....I'll re-listen tonight and try the wah without the 808. I'm not 100% on this preset at all yet, but when I was working along with the song I stepped on the wah and was not happy at all. It sounded in a way something that I've never heard my Helix sound like before so I was greatly confused.
rd2rk
When I say "nasty", that could just be my ears hearing it in isolation. In the mix it might be perfect for lollipop.
