Detailed instructions on how to get two expression pedals working on a HX Stomp XL

I have a db Instrument Amp 4E expression pedal, which is basically two expression pedals in one with an up-down and side to side movement. I'd like to get that working like I did in the past with a AxeFX 3. When I plug other expression pedals into the XL, I seem to get nothing happening. I've tried a Mission EP-1-KP (from an old Kemper) and a Roland EV-7. Both of these worked fine plugged into the two Fractal pedal inputs. Neither works if you plug them into the XL. I guess I am not getting enough information from the manual as to what exactly I need to get either these two pedals working or my 4E. If anyone has an exact model number of adapter that worked for them, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks,

Mark

No one? I really just need to know what adaptor is needed to take two basic expression pedals and combine the for the HX Stomp XL.

TRS male on the HX Stomp side, 2 x TS Females on the EXP sides...

... unless the Expression pedals have inputs, then it would be TRS Male to  2 x TS Males

I suspect this is the bigger problem. Not all expression pedals are wired the same, and even though it works on a Fractal, that doesn't mean it will work on a line 6. EG: Mission makes a LINE 6 specific expression pedal, it's the EP-1-L6H, not the EP-1-KP.

Here is the wiring for a Line 6 expression pedal.... you can rewire yours to work (it's often quite easy) or you can buy compatible EXP pedals.

Where do I get those 10kB pots? In an app store?

10K Linear pots are fairly easy to come by. I believe larger values also works with Helix, but not the older Line 6 units. I think with the Helix the most important thing is the wiring, not so much the pot value. TS, wired to the specs.

I have a Line 6 Exp pedal... and a Roland EP-5 that I modded to line 6 specs. I kept a 2nd EP 5 stock for most other devices I might use it with.

But the schematic states 10KB aka 10kiloByte. I have a 2GB USB stick - will it work, too?

But more seriously: stick to 10kOhm linear pots - at higher values only part of the control path of the pedal is recognized.
