HX Stomp Series Parallel Violume drop

I'm running my HS Xstomp in the loop of my quickrod using effects only.

When I route my preset effects along path B ( parallel) I get full volume but not an optimal effect integration.

When I route my effects along path A (series) I get a serious volume drop in the order of 5 to 6 db, even with all effects bypassed.

Is this normal and if so how is this dealt with?

Thank you

Hi,

Someone asked a very similar question earlier today.

Simple answer - yes, it is normal and it involves a little bit of the science of physics named "Pan Law".

Strap in - Here is the explanation for the difference in level when a path is split.

Hope this helps/makes sense.
