mfish33
Hi all, the MIDI seems to be mostly working well for me on the HX One. Trying to incorporate it into my board using a MC6 to control changes for that and a reverb/delay. HX one is set on Ch.3. I have had some quirky issues with it turning on and off even though based on the manual, I think I had programmed it right. I was using CC1 and value 0 to turn it on but I think it gets a little strange as it can also turn it off as I switch on the MIDI controller to other patches and then return. I was finding CC 4 and using value 127 seemed to always engage it. It is a little quirky and I am still a little new at MIDI. Does anyone have suggestions or any issues trying to program the One to engage and turn off when switching to different parts of songs using a MIDI controller like the MC6? Thanks. rd2rk
Standard MIDI usage is a Value of 127 (or 64-127) turns something ON, 0 (or 0-63) turns it OFF. It's not clear what exactly you've got going on, but from the HX One manual: "CC#4 Value 0-63: Bypass; 64-127: Engage Bypass/Engage (independent of CC1, which toggles the effect on and off, regardless of current bypass state). Provided primarily for use with MIDI knobs, where moving them past 12:00 will turn the effect on/off" So, if you want it ON use CC#4 Value 127; If you want it OFF use CC#4 Value 0.
mfish33
Yeah it is a little hard to explain. I just want to ultimately make sure it is on when I want it on and off when I want it off. I thought CC1 did that but it was not real reliable that way. CC4 seems to get it there every time.
GadgetGuitar
I was wondering if you had determined what is up with this cc#4. IT is a weird one. I use the cc#4 with the toggle reset on the MC (MC6 Pro) software. If I am jumping banks/songs it is turning on/off at weird times.

I'd suggest to use a MIDI monitor like MIDIView to figure out what the MC software actually sends.
