FuzE_gus
It only took me 9 years to finally try a Helix. What took me so long? Here is my honest thoughts after using it for 30 days:
boynigel
They've lowered their prices? Hmmm...maybe it's truly time to start speculating about an imminent successor on the horizon? Or maybe it was just a marketing decision given the age of the Helix in the current increasingly congested modeling market?

theElevators
You took it for a test drive. Now try to make it your daily driver. Playing a few sounds with it is not the same thing as taking it on the road and playing 30-song sets with it every night. ifs nice and shiny when it’s brand-new. And then you start discovering bugs, having hardware issues.

I cycle between this and an FM9 while incorporating real tube amps. It's been a great tool.

I was a little confused by that too...but as I just mentioned to him, I use it in my studio almost everyday. On top of what it's intended to do, all of the IO makes it a great interface when recording....I'll have more videos coming showcasing it as a studio tool... I’ve had similar experiences waiting on gear, and sometimes budgeting plays a big role. That's why I’ve started using programs like Purchasing Power where you can break down payments over time. It’s helped me grab a few dream items without stressing my wallet all at once. Might be worth looking into if you're eyeing more upgrades soon! I still love my pedals, but the Helix has made gigging and recording way more efficient.
