bryaneaves
I didn't know where to post this since there isn't an option for the new Pod Express. Before buying, I would like to know if the USB port is also an AUX in. I want to play music out of my ipad into the Pod Express and have the music unaffected in order for me to play along with backing tracks. The manual does not stay if this is possible. It only discusses being able to export out of this port as an audio interface for exporting signal. Anyone know? I'd really like to confirm this before purchasing. Thank you very much! silverhead
I see this paragraph in the manual pg 34 that I think answers your question: Sound Control Panel - This button launches the Windows Sound Control Panel, where you can optionally configure POD Express to be the audio playback device for multi-media applications (such as Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc.) The settings within the Windows Sound Control Panel are not relevant for your DAW software, since standard multi-media applications utilize the standard Windows driver.

You’re in the right place. The POD Expess is listed in the POD Go section of the Products pages.
jdag
I read somewhere (not sure where) that you can "play along" with YouTube, Spotify, etc., so I would think that the answer is yes, simply by plugging in via USB-C. That said, the fact that this device is missing bluetooth streaming and an AUX in is very surprising. In a perfect world it would also have wireless guitar in via their G10Tii adapter like the Yamaha THR and Pod Go WiFi units.
bryaneaves
Thanks everyone for your comments. I guess i'll go ahead and get one. I need it just for silent practice in hotels and such so the ability to feed in backing tracks and drum apps are a must. Been awhile since I've been in this forum. So glad to see it's still active!
