Podgo as Audio Interface

Hi

I have Podgo wireless, which I have connected to my windows 11 desktop PC via the usb cable.

My pod go is output to studio Monitors and I have created a preset with no blocks.

I use reaper and Amp Sims

I now wish to experiment playing along to wav files in Reaper. I play live and have high powered i7 PC so no latency.

I have created 4 tracks of the wav file I want to play along to, track 1 vocals, track 2 guitar. Track 3 drums. Track 4 bass

I can then choose to play along live to whatever tracks I wish. Usually Vocals. Bass and drums.

My question is. Is the Podgo up to this amount of signal traveling down a usb cable to my Podgo

Me playing plus backing output all going down a usb cable to my Podgo.

Reason I ask, is quality of sound not great but not bad, and regardless of how I set the sliders for mixing in  Reaper either the backing drowns my playing or my playing drowns backing.

I am aware of the Podgo global settings which allows me to adjust the input volume for usb input. Which I have on max.

Or would a Focusrite scarlet be a better choice for what I want to do here?

I realise you guys have lots more experience in the above and would value any of your help please.

Won't make any difference the 'amount' of data going through the cables.  It's all 0s and 1s so so there's never 'more' information going through the cable, and PGO isn't doing anything different whether the music you're playing contains a single singer or an entire orchestra.

Think that's the nature mixing.  Why many sound engineers will for instance cut off the bass of the guitar and boost the mids, so it can 'cut through' the mix; so you can hear the guitar without interfering with other instruments.

I don't think things would be better with Focusrite; the POD Go is quite capable of handling this. Make sure Reaper is configured to use the POD Go and the Line 6 ASIO driver as the audio interface. You could also use Reaper's Master track output volume to help with mixing.
